1. Payment Terms

All payments for membership registration, event participation, seminars, and any other services provided by the Malaysian Intellectual Property Association (MIPA) must be made in full at the time of registration. Payments can be made via the accepted payment methods listed on our website.

 

2. Membership Fees

Membership fees are non-refundable and must be renewed annually as per MIPA’s membership guidelines. Failure to renew within the stipulated period may result in suspension or termination of membership.

 

3. Event & Seminar Fees

  • Fees for events, seminars, and workshops must be paid before the specified deadline to secure participation.

  • In the event of cancellation by MIPA, a full refund will be provided to registered participants.

  • If a participant wishes to cancel their registration, refund eligibility will be based on the following:

    • Cancellation more than 14 days before the event: Full refund minus administrative fees.

    • Cancellation within 7-14 days before the event: 50% refund.

    • Cancellation less than 7 days before the event: No refund.

    • No refund will be provided for non-attendance without prior notice.

 

4. Changes & Cancellations by MIPA

MIPA reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or modify any event, seminar, or membership offering due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, participants will be given the option to either receive a refund or transfer their registration to a future event.

 

5. Payment Disputes

Any payment disputes or refund requests must be submitted in writing to secretariat@mipa.org.my within 7 days of the transaction. MIPA will review the request and respond within a reasonable timeframe.
